General information
The Cyclades are the iconic Greek islands: whitewashed houses, chapels, windmills, ferries, beaches and sunset views.
Trips and nature
The islands are dry, windy and sunny. Santorini has a volcanic caldera, Milos colourful coasts, Naxos mountains and beaches, and Amorgos wilder scenery.
Food and atmosphere
Each island has its own rhythm: Santorini is dramatic, Mykonos glamorous, Naxos and Paros more balanced, Syros more urban and Sifnos strongly gastronomic.
Transport and stay
Travel depends on ferries and seasonal schedules. The Cyclades are ideal for 7 to 14 days of island hopping, beaches and photography; avoid August if you dislike crowds.
