Biotop Radotín: chlorine-free natural swimming on the edge of Prague

Biotop Radotín is a natural swimming area on the south-western edge of Prague. Its water is filtered biologically, using plants, filtration lagoons and natural processes rather than chlorine.

This is not a wild quarry or a free lake, but a proper paid area with facilities: a swimming lake, biological filtration lake, lawns, changing rooms, showers, toilets, children’s features and refreshments.

Expect paid entry and seasonal operation depending on weather. On hot weekends, the area can be busy, so morning, weekdays or late afternoon are better.

Practical tip

The easiest access is by train S7 to Nádraží Radotín and then about 10 minutes on foot. Driving is possible, but parking can fill quickly.
