Who it suits

Bike Area Zadov is a smaller and more relaxed Šumava bike area rather than a large downhill-only bikepark. It suits families, children, beginners, e-bike riders and intermediate riders who want a mix of practice, forest trails and Šumava cycling trips.

Riding

The current Bike Area Zadov page lists several route types: a blue route with children, a blue e-bike route, a red MTB/e-bike route and a longer e-bike/MTB route. Older tourism descriptions also mention enduro-style trails such as Temelínský odpalovák and Kobyla Rodeo.

Mini Bike Park

Mini Bike Park Zadov is by the lower lift station. It has a moving belt, obstacles, a practice trail, drops, jumps and a line for the youngest riders. It is listed as open daily 9:00–16:00, with entry at CZK 100.

Lift

The Zadov–Kobyla chairlift transports bikes and gives access to the upper part of the area. For 2026, operation is listed from 23 May for pedestrians and cyclists. Check the exact current timetable before travelling.

Getting there

Head to the Zadov–Kobyla chairlift near Zadov and Stachy. A large free car park is listed by the lower lift station. Public transport should be planned via Vimperk, Stachy or Zadov, with bike carriage checked in advance.

Watch out

Do not treat Zadov as a large pure downhill bikepark. It is a smaller bike area with a lift, family practice zone, e-bike routes and short trail options. Check current operation before travelling.
