General information
Northern Dalmatia is one of Croatia’s best-balanced regions, combining old coastal cities, islands, national parks, sailing, beaches and easier logistics than the far south.
Trips and nature
Kornati’s islands and Krka’s waterfalls are the natural stars, supported by rocky coves, clear water, dry hills and pine-covered coast.
Food and atmosphere
Zadar mixes Roman, Venetian and modern seaside life, while Šibenik adds a magnificent cathedral, stone lanes and strong Dalmatian atmosphere.
Transport and stay
Zadar has an airport and ferry links. A car helps for Krka, inland viewpoints and smaller beaches, while boats are essential for Kornati.
