General information
Comino is a small island escape between Malta and Gozo. It is mainly a day-trip destination, famous for the Blue Lagoon and bright turquoise water.
Trips and nature
The island is dry, rocky and marine. The Blue Lagoon is beautiful but very crowded in high season; early mornings and shoulder season are better.
Food and atmosphere
There are few cultural sights beyond the Santa Marija Tower and island atmosphere. Services are limited and seasonal, so water and basics are worth bringing.
Transport and stay
Comino is reached by boat from Malta or Gozo. It is best for a half-day or day trip, swimming, snorkelling and short walks away from the busiest lagoon area.
