General information

The Turkish Riviera is the main beach and holiday region of Turkey, combining warm sea, resorts, ancient sites, the Taurus Mountains, turquoise bays and a long season.

Trips and nature

The region offers the Mediterranean, mountains close to the coast, gorges, bays and long beaches. Spring and autumn are great for trips and swimming, while summer is hot and busy.

Food and atmosphere

Lycian, Greek and Roman sites give the beach holiday historical depth. Side, Aspendos, Perge and Lycian rock tombs are key highlights. Food includes fish, meze, kebabs, gözleme, citrus fruit, tea and sweets.

Transport and stay

Antalya and Dalaman have airports, and the coast is connected by buses and transfers. A car helps for smaller bays, Lycian sites and mountain trips.
