General information
Kraków and Lesser Poland are one of Poland’s strongest cultural regions, combining medieval streets, royal history, Jewish heritage, salt mines, castles and easy trips towards the mountains.
Trips and nature
The region includes river valleys, limestone hills, caves and access towards the Tatras and Pieniny. The landscape becomes more dramatic south of Kraków.
Food and atmosphere
Kraków’s old town, Wawel, Kazimierz and nearby Wieliczka create one of Central Europe’s richest historical clusters.
Transport and stay
Kraków has an airport and strong rail links. Public transport works well in the city, while trains and tours cover Wieliczka and many nearby sights.
