General information
Southern Dalmatia is Croatia’s grand finale: Dubrovnik’s walls, island routes, wine country, national parks, monasteries and a spectacular coast squeezed between mountains and sea.
Trips and nature
The region has steep limestone coast, islands, pine forests, coves, clear water and vineyards. Mljet is especially good for quieter nature and saltwater lakes.
Food and atmosphere
Dubrovnik’s old republic history dominates, while Korčula, Pelješac villages, monasteries and maritime traditions add strong local layers.
Transport and stay
Dubrovnik has an airport and ferry links. A car helps for Pelješac, but islands require ferries and planning. Dubrovnik can be very crowded in peak season.
