SCOTT Bikepark Oberammergau

SCOTT Bikepark Oberammergau sits on the edge of the famous alpine village, so the day feels more like riding a forest playground above town than visiting a huge resort. Two Easyloop-equipped lifts bring riders back up, and the trail list is varied: Flowtrail, Wurzelsepp, Switchbacker, Kleiner Hobbit, Ambit Jumpline, Fichtenschreck and a rookie area.

The park is strongest when you use it for repeated laps. The trails are not enormous, but each has a clear role: the Flowtrail is about two kilometres, Wurzelsepp adds roots, Kleiner Hobbit keeps things playful, while the Jumpline and Fichtenschreck demand better timing, protection and restraint.

Newer riders should start with the practice area and treat the first laps as skills work: braking, looking through turns and managing speed. Advanced riders will get more from the day by rotating lines, keeping the technical trails for fresh legs and switching to flow when fatigue starts to show.

The setup is practical rather than flashy. The lower station has shop and bar services, rental is handled by partner Sport-Zentrale Papistock in the village, and official lift-pass prices are published. In wet weather, roots and wooden features become the key hazards, and family riders should note the age, height and supervision rules.
