Pískovna Náklo is one of the strongest natural swimming spots near Olomouc. Between Náklo and Lhota nad Moravou, a former gravel-sand quarry has become a large lake with grassy-sandy banks, clear water, fishing, paddleboards and Wake Park Náklo.
Why visit
The main reason is the size and water. The flooded area is listed at roughly 100 hectares and reaches depths of up to about 25 metres. It feels more open and lake-like than many smaller quarries.

Swimming is at your own risk. The banks are grassy and sandy in places, but this is still a former quarry, so the bottom and depth can change quickly. Children and weaker swimmers need close attention.
