Lom Výkleky is one of the most striking natural swimming spots in Central Moravia: clear turquoise water, rocky banks, steep quarry walls and a setting that feels far from a standard swimming pool.

The quarry lies near the village of Výkleky, between Olomouc, Lipník nad Bečvou and Přerov. Because of its clean water and dramatic surroundings, it has become extremely popular in hot weather.

Why visit

The main reason is the water and scenery. Výkleky is a flooded quarry, not a grassy pool. The water is often very clear, the banks are rocky and the views from above are impressive.

Swimming

There is one more gradual entry point, but much of the terrain is rocky and quarry-like. Water shoes can help. The water can get deep quickly, so children and weaker swimmers need close attention.

Paid regime and parking

Since the 2025 season, the area has had paid entry and paid parking. Park only at the designated quarry car park. The municipality warns against parking or stopping along the main village road.

Watch out for

Swimming is at your own risk. Do not jump from rocks unless you know exactly what you are doing. Dogs are not allowed to swim and camping is restricted to the current visitor rules.

Summary

Lom Výkleky is one of the most beautiful natural swimming sites in the Olomouc Region: clear water, rocky scenery and a strong summer atmosphere. It is now a managed paid area, so check current rules before visiting.
