Finale Ligure Outdoor Region MTB: seaside enduro and over 200 trails in Liguria

Finale Ligure is a different discipline from an Alpine lift bike park. You do not simply ride up and down one marked hillside; the riding spreads across the hills between the Ligurian Sea, Finalborgo, Melogno, Manie and other zones. The official Finale Outdoor Region lists over 200 MTB trails and live trail status, so the smart first move is the official base or a shuttle/guide service rather than blindly following a map.

The magic is contrast. In the morning you can start in chestnut and beech forests around 1,000 metres; in the afternoon you roll through limestone, Mediterranean scrub and sea views. Some trails have an enduro racing reputation, others are smoother for warming up. What looks like romantic Riviera on paper can feel rocky, dry, technical and tiring on the bike.

Finale suits riders who want a full MTB trip, not just a park pass. A shuttle saves legs, a guide helps choose legal and open trails for weather and group level. You can ride without one, but local rules, closures and spread-out trail zones deserve respect. The official FOR YOU CARD is not mandatory, but it supports area maintenance.

For day one, do not overcook it. Book a shuttle-assisted tour, read the terrain, then choose further zones. Finale is brilliant because the day does not end at a car park: there is the sea, focaccia, old Finalborgo and an evening where you still feel trail dust in the helmet.
