Playa de los Genoveses is Cabo de Gata in a relatively accessible but still wild form. A broad bay, pale sand, low hills and no hotel wall behind it: this is the kind of place where people slow down quickly. It does not need many attractions. Space is the attraction.

The beach has a different energy from Mediterranean resorts. It feels more open, drier and a little raw. When the wind is gentle, it is a beautiful place for swimming and simply doing very little. In summer, access restrictions and transport from San Jose matter. Outside peak season, visiting can feel easier, but water, shade and a sensible return time are still not minor details. The best visit starts early, leaves room for the slow approach and does not turn Genoveses into a rushed stop between three other beaches.
