Bikepark Schladming on the Planai is one of those places where racing history is obvious, but the day is not only for experts. The modern ten-seat gondola carries bikes comfortably from Planai Stadium, and the trail network combines long flow sections, jump lines and technical descents with roots and steeper terrain.

For a first visit, start measured. The Bike Area and easier flow sections let you read the surface, while Peak Flowline and Stadium Flowline gradually add length and rhythm. Stronger riders head for Worldcup Downhill, Pro Downhill, Rookie Downhill or 99 Jumpline, where speed control, braking and line choice matter much more.

Schladming is also convenient on the ground. Planai Stadium has parking, wash stations, gondola access, rental, service and a bike school, so the park works even if you arrive without every piece of your own equipment. Bike tickets are valid for Bikepark Schladming and the Reiteralm Trails, useful if you want a weekend with more than one mountain.

Treat the black and race-style tracks with respect. A full-face helmet is mandatory on black routes, and back, elbow and knee protectors plus gloves are strongly recommended. Riding outside marked routes or on closed sections is forbidden; mountain weather can also change quickly, so check operating and trail status before arrival and during the day.
